Church publicity at its heart

This article from Church Marketing Sucks is just really sensible (though I hate the marketing speak). If you want to start a church, don't think big events are the way to go. What's important is people and so we've simply got to spend more time getting to know people. The minister at our church at the moment is having lunch periodically with many of the guys. It's great for pastoral contact, but I now realise it's a great way to meet new people. Must remember this in the future...
